House Aries

House Aries in Waterkloof, Pretoria, is a refurbishment of an existing house with wonderful views over Waterkloof and Brooklyn. A large Rhinowood timber pergola was designed to cover the new roof terrace while wrapping into the entertainment area below in order to achieve a spatial continuity. The existing natural stone walls were retained, while contrasting materials and a contemporary spatial layout was employed to distinguish between old and new.
